LOG ENTRY: 001 - ARRIVAL IN KANTO (VARIANT KAI)
touched down in Pallet Town at 0600 hours. The atmospheric readings are... familiar. Extremely familiar. Visuals match the standard FireRed simulation to a tee, but my sensors are picking up fluctuations in the combat data. This isn't the Kanto I memorized. The architect, a known entity 'Princess Gabrielle', has attempted a re-stabilization of the region's entropy. They claim it's a 'learning experience'. I call it a new hunting ground.
My Pokedex is primed. 386 slots. Empty. Staring at me. I'm already shaking. Let's see if this dimension has the density to satisfy the itch.
THREAT ASSESSMENT: ELEVATED
Do not let the vanilla textures fool you. The local fauna and opposing trainers have undergone significant combat re-sequencing. I engaged a Youngster on Route 3 whose tactical AI seemed sharper than the standard 'spam Tackle' protocol. The Gym Leaders? They aren't just speed bumps anymore. They are actual gatekeepers.
NOTE: Brock's team composition has shifted. Do not rely on a single Charmander to sweep without tactical support.
The re-balancing is palpable. It feels like the world logic has been tightened, stats tweaked, movesets optimized. It's not 'Kaizo' level hostility—I didn't need to calculate damage frames—but it kept me awake. I respect a region that fights back.
THE HUNT: AVAILABILITY & QOL
Here is the meat. The juice. The reason I breathe. Can I catch them all? The intel suggested a 'Vanilla+' approach, which usually makes me nervous about missing slots. However, I found evidence of local technology designed to bypass the trade-evolution barriers.
Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. seeing that item on the shelf lowered my blood pressure immediately. No more begging for a second device to evolve my Kadabra. It’s just me, the Alakazam, and the open road.
However, explorers should note: this is a 'Work In Progress' dimension. While the main campaign is stable, the post-game data feels fragmented. I reached the credits, but the Sevii Islands felt... quieter than usual. My completion percentage is stuck, and I can't find the triggers for the expanded National Dex roaming legendaries yet.
ANOMALIES DETECTED
Since this is a 'First Project' by the architect, the fabric of reality is thin in places. I encountered minor texture glitches—'visual static'—and some event flags that felt precarious. It’s playable, absolutely, but you can feel the scaffolding holding the code together.
WARNING: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave north of Cerulean. I detected instability in the script triggers. If you knock out the static encounter, it might not respawn after the Elite Four.
FINAL LOG
100% completion took me 85 hours. Well, '100%' of what was available. I have filled the Kanto Dex, but the National Dex remains a taunting void due to the WIP status of the post-game. This region shows promise. It's a clean, sharper version of Kanto, but for a hunter like me who needs the full 386 spread across a massive post-game, it feels like an appetizer. A delicious, spicy appetizer, but I'm still hungry.
