LOG ENTRY: DAY 14 // HOUR: 88 // SECTOR: KANTO EXTENDED

Pulse rate is steady at 140 BPM. I haven't slept since I entered the Hall of Fame because my Pokedex is stuck at 98.2%. The sheer scale of this region is enough to induce a catatonic state of joy. We are talking Generation 1 through 9. Paldea specimens roaming Kanto soil. I nearly hyperventilated when I saw a Sprigatito in the wild.

My mission parameters were clear: Catalog everything. And this environment provides the tools to do it, mostly. 100% completion took me 85 hours, and I'm still scrubbing the map for the final few entries. The density of fauna here is overwhelming in the best possible way.

THE CATCHABILITY INDEX

This is what matters. Can I catch them all without begging a second operative to trade with me? Affirmative. The local technology has advanced significantly.

  • Evolutionary Stones: The Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. No more agonizing over trade evolutions. I evolved my Gengar solo in the middle of a cave. It felt illegal. It felt good.
  • Fossil Excavation: The local geology is unstable. You don't just find fossils; you have to steal them from Hikers using Thief or Dig them up. It's a grind, but it's a determinable grind. I spent six hours mugging Hikers on Mt. Moon. Worth it for the Gen 8 fossils.
  • The Starter Protocol: 27 Starters available. Twenty. Seven. They have a custom level for evolution. I have boxes full of them. It's a logistician's dream.

QUALITY OF LIFE (SURVIVAL TOOLS)

The interface in this dimension has been overhauled. The HUD now displays IVs naturally. For a shiny hunter like me, knowing the genetic makeup of a target instantly is critical intel. The PSS icons are inserted, making combat flow much smoother.

FIELD NOTE: The Safari Zone has been deregulated. Entry cost is 4000 credits, but it does not count steps. You get 60 balls and infinite time. I set up a tent. I live there now. This is the Best QoL: Infinite Safari time for rare captures.

ANOMALIES AND MISSING DATA

Here is where the sweat starts. My scanner picked up traces of Legendary signatures that I simply cannot access. Intelligence indicates that some Legendary events are missing or incomplete. I am staring at empty slots in the database with no way to fill them legitimately within the current timeline.

Furthermore, the wormhole system and "Sideway Stairs" visual distortions can be disorienting. I encountered a few "Dive Maps" that felt like unfinished reality constructs. It triggers my completionist anxiety when a path leads to nowhere.

THE VERDICT

Despite the missing legendary coordinates, the Living Dex is possible without cheats for the vast majority of the 9 generations available. The sheer volume of content—field moves like Rock Climb and Drillrun being integrated—makes this a dense, meaty expedition. Just be prepared for the psychological toll of those few unattainable mythicals.
