LOG ENTRY: SECTOR 7 (CINNABAR ISLAND)
Timestamp: 0800 Hours
Location: Cinnabar Island (Insertion Point)
I was deployed to the Kanto region expecting the standard Pallet Town linear progression. Instead, I find myself washed up on Cinnabar Island with a level 5 starter. The magnetic polarity of the region has been inverted. We are traversing the gym challenge in reverse order: Blaine first, Giovanni last. This isn't just a map shuffle; it's a complete restructuring of the threat curve.
My initial analysis of the local fauna indicates a total recalibration of encounter tables. Starting in an aquatic environment requires immediate adaptation. If you aren't prepping counters for Fire and Water types immediately, you're failing the run before it begins.
COMBAT MECHANICS: ANOMALIES DETECTED
I ran the damage calculations on my starter's early move pool and noticed discrepancies. Did you even check the Documentation files? The developer, Slike, has tampered with the Base Stat Totals (BST) of numerous species. While I generally despise non-canonical stat changes as they mess with my mental damage calculator, the buffs seem intended to make 'trash mons' viable in this distorted meta.
Furthermore, Field Move 'Cut' has been re-typed to Steel and given a base power boost. Finally, a reason to slot it. It provides essential coverage against early-game Rock types, turning an HM slave into a viable pivot. Conversely, 'Surf' has been nerfed. It seems the developers are trying to force a shift in the standard Nuzlocke water-spam meta.
THREAT ASSESSMENT: GYM LEADERS
The Gym Leaders have adjusted their rosters to match the inverted progression. Blaine is no longer a late-game special sweeper check; he's the introductory hurdle. However, don't let your guard down. Intelligence reports indicate that TMs have been restricted to prevent early-game power spikes. You won't be sweeping with Fire Blast at level 15.
I observed the enemy behavior closely. The AI actually switches out on a resist. Impressive. It’s not Kaizo-level input reading, but it’s enough to punish careless play. Standard Hardcore Nuzlocke rules: No items in battle. If you rely on Potions to tank these modified movesets, you aren't winning; you're stalling.
FIELD NOTES & WARNINGS
- Teleport Modification: There are conflicting reports regarding the move 'Teleport'. Some intel suggests it has been weaponized into a Psychic-type explosion. Treat any Abra as a live grenade until proven otherwise.
- Terrain Hazards: Puddles akin to the Unova region have been spotted. These contain wild encounters. Watch your step.
- Engine Limitations: While the mechanics are fresh, the engine feels like a hybrid. If this hack lacks the Physical/Special split, I am going to have a stern word with management. Running a Gyarados without physical Water STAB is an exercise in futility.
PROFESSOR'S NOTE: The level curve here is the real enemy. With the path inverted, experience yields in the early water routes are critical. Miss your EV training on the Tentacools, and you will fall behind.
