LOG START: REGION SÉNJO // T-MINUS 0 HOURS
Heart rate is steady at 110 BPM. I have touched down in the SéNJO region. My Pokedex is currently reading 0% completion, and quite frankly, that number makes me physically ill. The local professor handed me a starter, and the obsession begins now. I don't care about the local politics or why the volcano is erupting; I care about filling slots #001 through #386. If it breathes, I'm catching it.
THE LANDSCAPE: CHAOS THEORY
The geography here is unstable. We are operating on a modified FireRed engine, but the terrain is unrecognizable. Playing as Silver—typically a hostile entity in the Johto sector—adds a nice flavor to the expedition. However, the architecture of SéNJO feels... unfinished. I encountered several texture anomalies where trees merged into buildings. It breaks immersion, sure, but my main concern is: can a shiny spawn in a glitch tile? I wasn't willing to risk a soft-lock to find out.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I stumbled into a lava tube near the second town and triggered a script that locked me out of backtracking. If I hadn't saved, I would have missed the encounter table for that specific floor forever. Unacceptable design for a completionist run.
THE HUNT: AVAILABILITY & ANOMALIES
Let's talk numbers. The local biodiversity is a mix of Gen 1 through Gen 3, with rumors of Gen 4 and 5 evolutions grafted in via new technology. I spent six hours in the tall grass on Route 1 just to verify the spawn percentages. The encounter rates are erratic.
The threat level is inconsistent. Some Trainers use standard movesets, while others deploy high-level tactics with new moves imported from future generations. I saw a Charizard use a move that shouldn't exist in this timeline. It’s thrilling, but dangerous for a Nuzlocke. However, for a collector? It's paradise, provided the game doesn't crash.
- New Moves (TM/HM): The tech here is advanced. TMs have been updated, but they aren't infinite use. I accidentally wasted a valuable TM on a temporary team member. Rookie mistake.
- Evolution Stones: Hard to find. I had to scour every pixel of the map.
THE GRIND: BLOOD, SWEAT, AND PIXELS
I tracked down a legendary in a hidden volcanic chamber. The catch rate felt artificially lowered, or maybe RNGesus has forsaken me. 100% completion took me 85 hours. A significant portion of that was fighting the lack of documentation. There is no Wiki for SéNJO. I had to map the hidden grottoes myself using graph paper and desperation.
Is the Pokedex fully completable? The data is inconclusive. I found slots that simply wouldn't fill, likely due to the Beta status of this reality. For a completionist, seeing a blank spot that cannot be filled is a form of psychological torture.
FINAL LOG ENTRY
Pokemon Eruption is a volatile expedition. It captures the thrill of the hunt but lacks the stability of a finalized region. The new region is fresh, playing as Silver is a win, but the fear of a save corruption haunted me every step of the way.
NOTE: Keep a backup save. The anomalies in the code are more dangerous than the Gym Leaders.
