LOG START: DAY 01 - THE ITCH

My thumbs are blistered. My eyes are dry. But the dopamine hit of seeing that “Caught” symbol light up? Unmatched. I just spent an extended tour in the Epic Emerald region (Sector: Hoenn Variant). The mission parameters were clear: A complete biological survey of all 386 known species. No exceptions. No excuses.

I entered this region with high anxiety. Usually, these “386” sectors are filled with lies—missing Mythicals, broken events, or that one glitched tile preventing access to Mew. But I’m reporting in with a full box. Deep breaths. The collection is safe.

THE CENSUS (POKEDEX OPERATIONS)

Let’s get straight to the data that matters. This isn’t a vacation; it’s a hunt. The biodiversity here is dense. We are talking full national availability within the regional borders. I tracked down every single entity from Bulbasaur to Deoxys.

FIELD NOTE: The “Trade Evolution” barrier has been dismantled. Local evolution biology has been altered to trigger via Level Up or Stones. Living Dex is possible without cheats. This is the only way I can sleep at night.

However, be warned: The “Fairy” mutation has spread to this timeline. It completely disrupts standard type-matchup calculations. Dragons that used to rule the ecosystem are now cowering before Clefables. Adapt your capture teams accordingly.

REGIONAL TECHNOLOGY & QOL

The local infrastructure is surprisingly advanced for a 2018-era simulation. The most critical discovery? Infinite Technical Machines (TMs). I didn’t have to hoard my Earthquake TM like a dragon guarding gold. I slapped it on everything. It’s a logistical dream.

The combat physics have also been updated to the “Physical/Special Split” standard. This makes species like Sneasel actually viable assets rather than Pokédex filler. Thank Arceus.

ANOMALIES: THE “TEXT” SITUATION

I must report a strange cultural phenomenon. The inhabitants (NPCs) do not speak the standard Game Freak dialect. The creator, Cataclyptic, has rewritten the regional dialogue. Some of it is refreshing, but some of it feels... alien. It breaks immersion when a Youngster starts speaking with the vocabulary of an internet forum user. It’s not a glitch, but it’s a jarring deviation from standard operating procedure.

THE ENDGAME

The hostilities here are elevated. Gym Leaders are not the pushovers from the vanilla timeline; they utilize the expanded roster and updated move pools. I actually wiped to Watson because I wasn't respecting his coverage.

After the Champion fell, I didn't stop. Post-game is massive. Battle Frontier included. Since this is built on the Emerald chassis, the Frontier remains the ultimate testing ground for my newly completed Living Dex. I spent hours optimizing IVs just to get that Gold Symbol.

FINAL LOG ENTRY

I have cataloged them all. The boxes are organized numerically. The urge to restart and do a Monotype run is already rising, but for now, the mission is a success. 100% completion took me 85 hours. Time to recharge the batteries.
