I packed my bags for Hoenn. The dossier said "Emerald Beautiful Remade." I expected Rayquaza. I expected Battle Frontier. I expected to smell the sea breeze of Slateport. Instead, I dropped into a neurological nightmare that identifies as FireRed but claims to be Emerald while shouting about a "Medley Region" that looks suspiciously like Cerulean City. My Pokedex is screaming.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX: CRITICAL FAILURE
Listen to me. I don't sleep until the numbers go up. I need that 100%. But this expedition? It's a Beta 0.1 fragment of a fever dream. The intel claims "Pokemon of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd (very few) and 4th generation." Very few Gen 3? In an Emerald remake? That's like walking into a bakery that sells "very few" breads. It violates the fundamental laws of nature.
NOTE: Hostile entities (Megas) reported without visual rendering. The developer note literally reads "I just need someone to sprite them." I am fighting invisible gods, people. This is not a drill.
ANOMALIES & GLITCH CITIES
The progression system has been dismantled. Standard Gym protocol is offline. Instead of battling Brock or Misty, I'm running errands for... Team Rocket? Stealing keys? Looting fossils? It feels like a rom hack of a rom hack. The "Fairy Type" is present, which is usually a good QoL update, but when the fabric of reality is tearing apart because the base ROM is FireRed but the title screen says Emerald, typing match-ups are the least of my worries.
Usually, 100% completion took me 85 hours in a standard region. Here? I can't even estimate a time because the finish line hasn't been coded yet. It's an infinite loop of unfinished business.
MISSING DATA
I tried to establish a hunting routine. I looked for the usual comforts. Is the Link Cable item available in Department Store? Huge W. if it was, but I can't even confirm if the Department Store exists in this dimension or if it's been replaced by a void of missing assets.
And don't get me started on the Legendaries. Mega Arceus and Mega Giratina are listed in the manifest, but without sprites, they are phantom data. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave, or any door, or literally moving a single tile, because this world is unstable. One wrong step and you might clip through the floor into the code matrix.
FINAL ASSESSMENT
I cannot work under these conditions. My spreadsheet is blank. My hands are shaking. There is no National Dex to complete because the Nation itself is under construction. Until this project moves past Beta 0.1 and decides which region it actually wants to be, I am marking this zone as HAZARDOUS.
