I need a moment. I just extracted from the Elemental Rift region, and my spreadsheets are bleeding. This isn't a standard expedition; it's a biological fever dream. The intel promised a FireRed base, but the genetic code of every specimen here has been rewritten. We're talking total Type, Stat, and Ability mutations. I saw things... illogical things. A Pidgey that tanks Thunderbolts? Maybe. I stopped trying to apply Kanto logic after the first hour.

THE CATCHABILITY REPORT

My neurological need for 100% completion is currently in a state of panic. Because this is designated as "Alpha 1," the stability of the region is questionable. However, the New Evolution Mechanic is the saving grace here. I spent three hours testing item interactions.

  • Trade Evolutions: Patched locally. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. No need to disturb the multiverse (or find a second GBA) to get a Gengar.
  • Availability: The modified movepools and types mean you aren't just catching Pokemon; you're catching variants. It's fresh, but it's a nightmare for my sorting system.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS & ANOMALIES

The local government—or lack thereof—is strange. There is no "Evil Team" syndicate operating here. No Rockets, no grandiose speeches. Just you and the raw elements. It feels lonely, but efficient. I didn't have to waste time dismantling a criminal empire, which gave me more time for optimization.

WARNING: The Gym Leaders are utilizing chaos theory. Their teams appear to be Randomized. I walked into the first Gym expecting Rock-types and prepared my Grass squad. I was met with... something else entirely. You cannot prep; you can only react.

THE VERDICT: CHAOS DRAFT

This region is volatile. The "Alpha" tag is heavy. I encountered visual glitches that I'm classifying as "Reality Tears." It's not a polished museum piece; it's a laboratory. For a completionist, it's stressful because the rules of the Living Dex keep shifting under your feet.

However, if you ignore the glitches, the sheer novelty of the re-typed monsters is a dopamine hit. Living Dex is possible without cheats, theoretically, assuming the Alpha build doesn't crash before the Elite Four. Just keep your save files rotated. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I lost 45 minutes of progress because I trusted the auto-resume function. Don't be me.
