LOG ENTRY: DAY 01 - THE SOALA INSERTION
Heart rate is elevated. 120 BPM. I've just dropped into the Soala Region, and the first thing I checked was the Pokedex capacity. 721 slots. Seven. Hundred. Twenty. One. My palms are already sweating. That is a massive number for a FireRed architecture. If the developer, Christos, hasn't optimized the storage boxes, I'm going to have a panic attack.
The local cartography is fresh. This isn't Kanto. It's a new landmass entirely, and rumors suggest a connection to a dimension called the "Dream World." If this is anything like the Entralink simulations I've run before, this is where the Hidden Abilities are hiding. I've packed extra Timer Balls.
THE CATALOGUE: 721 TARGETS
I need to verify the availability of the Mythicals immediately. A region claiming "All 721 Pokemon will be available" is a bold claim. Usually, that means roaming legendaries with broken encounter rates. However, early scans indicate a robust ecosystem. The inclusion of Gen 6 battle mechanics and the Fairy type suggests that the local physics engine has been heavily modified to support modern capture strategies.
FIELD NOTE: Keep an eye on the "Dream World" access points. In my experience, this is where developers hide the starters and pseudo-legendaries to prevent early-game power creep.
ANOMALIES AND THREATS
Here is the concern: The mission dossier is flagged "Beta 1 (v0.11)", yet the region is tagged as "Completed". This contradiction makes me nervous. Is the post-game actually accessible, or is it a glitch void? I found the scripting for side stories to be surprisingly intact, but I encountered visual artifacts near the boundary lines.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I've seen reports of script tiles that don't reset. If you knock out a static legendary here without saving, it might be gone forever. That is an automatic mission failure in my book. Do not risk it.
QUALITY OF LIFE ASSESSMENT
The local tech is a mixed bag. The new TMs and Field Moves are a welcome upgrade from the archaic HM slavery of the standard FireRed engine. I haven't confirmed if the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W if it is, because I refuse to set up a dual-boy emulator just to get a Gengar. I need that trade evolution patched yesterday.
The sheer density of encounters is overwhelming. 100% completion took me 85 hours in similar environments, but with the Dream World variables, this could push 100+. I'm ready. I have the spreadsheets. I have the coffee. Let's fill those slots.
