Some challenge

Features Sol Rock as the mascot right at the title, this game will tell you the story of another region. In this region, wars are continuously happening. People do not know when and where to stop. They use all the power sources they can, especially the Sun. All of them think that the power of the Sun is infinite and unlimited, actually, the truth is completely opposite to what they think. Because its own solar energy has been pulled out so much, the Sun is dying slowly. Because of that, many unfamiliar atmospheres are appearing in this region. You are the son of a man who has been living here for many years. Your father tells you so much about this and you are given a quest: go to some places to rescue the Sun before everything is too late. With the hope to save everyone, to save the Sun… you immediately go on. Be more careful since your path is full of strange phenomena.

LOG ENTRY: 0700 HOURS - REGION: DYING SUN

My hands are shaking. Not from excitement. From stress. I landed in the Dying Sun region with my standard-issue Capture Styler and a stack of Ultra Balls, ready to catalog the local fauna. The briefing mentioned a solar crisis—energy depletion, war, a dying star. Compelling stuff. But nobody warned me about the structural integrity of reality itself.

My Pokedex is currently registering error codes instead of entry numbers. This is going to be a rough report.

THE TERRAIN: A VISUAL HAZARD

The Official Intel wasn't joking when it stated: "The overworld’s design looks like bug." I treat visual glitches as "Anomalies" usually, but here, the Anomaly is the baseline state of existence. The tilesets are clashing violently. Trees bleed into mountains. The aesthetic isn't just "dying sun," it's "dying GPU."

FIELD NOTE: Do not stare directly at the ground textures for too long. It induces vertigo similar to the Lavender Town syndrome.

I attempted to map the starting town. The layout is confusing, hostile to navigation. For a completionist, this is a nightmare. How can I scour every corner for hidden items if I can't distinguish a wall from a walkable path? I found myself walking through rooftops. Immersion broken? No, immersion shattered.

THE HUNT: CATCHABILITY ASSESSMENT

I judge a region by its biodiversity and accessibility. Here, the "strange phenomena" promised in the briefing manifest as erratic encounters. I saw new sprites—some interesting, some looking like genetic experiments gone wrong. Solrock is the mascot, which is a nice touch given the solar theme, but finding one felt less like a hunt and more like a gamble against the game engine.

I dug into the game's code to verify the encounter tables because the tall grass was giving me inconsistent data. Theoretically, a Living Dex is possible without cheats, provided the reality of the region doesn't collapse on you first. However, actually executing this without encountering a soft-lock is a feat of endurance I wasn't prepared for.

ANOMALIES AND THREATS

The intercepted comms came back as [object Object], and now I know why. Previous explorers didn't get out. The data corruption is real. I encountered multiple event flags that didn't trigger correctly.

  • Quest Tracking: The "Save the Sun" questline is vague. I spent three hours wandering a glitched forest looking for a trigger.
  • Stability: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Any cave. Actually, save before you take a step. I walked into a cavern entrance and the screen faded to black and never came back. That's a reset. That's lost progress. That's my Pokedex data gone.

FINAL LOG

I wanted this to be the one. I wanted to add the "Dying Sun" badge to my case. In a standard simulation, 100% completion took me 85 hours, but here? Time is irrelevant when the world is dissolving. The concept of a resource-starved region is brilliant, but the execution is currently in a pre-alpha state masquerading as a Beta.

My Pokedex remains at 4%. I cannot work under these conditions. I am pulling out until the "earthwarrior" architect stabilizes the physics engine.
