LOG ENTRY: DAY 1 - PANIC LEVEL CRITICAL
I don't know how I got here. One minute I was soft-resetting for a shiny Starter in the Kanto sector, the next I'm on this... Demon Island. The atmosphere is oppressive. It’s not the "flesh-eating monsters" that have me sweating—it’s the biodiversity. My Pokedex is pinging unfamiliar signatures. "MAKABRE" forms? Are these regional variants? Do they have separate Dex entries? I need to catalog them all before something eats me.
THE FAUNA: MAKABRE EVOLUTIONS
The local wildlife is hostile. Extremely hostile. But as a LVL. 100 Explorer, I see potential. Several species here undergo a "Makabre" evolution. I've confirmed these are permanent morphological changes, likely induced by the demonic energy of the region. For a completionist, this is both a dream and a nightmare. Living Dex is possible without cheats, but you have to survive long enough to grind the XP. The designs are grotesque, yet strangely compelling. I spent three hours hunting a Makabre variant just to see its shiny sprite. It was red. Blood red. Fitting.
THREAT ASSESSMENT: SHADOW TRAINERS
The locals—if you can call them that—are "Shadows". They don't battle for badges; they battle for blood. The difficulty curve is steep. It’s not just "hard"; it’s "optimize your IVs or die" hard. The Sinned Seven (this region's Elite Four equivalent) are legitimate gatekeepers. I had to utilize every trick in the book.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. There are areas where the narrative pushes you forward aggressively. If you miss a capture in a collapsing dungeon, that slot in the Dex stays empty. That is terrifying.
CRITICAL INTEL: MISSABLES AND QOL
Despite the horror setting, the developer showed mercy to us collectors. I located a merchant in a safe zone who sells evolution items. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. Well, it's more of a "Black Market" than a Department Store, but the function remains. Trade evolutions are patched. Thank Arceus. I don't need friends to evolve my Gengar in this hellscape.
FINAL TALLY
The story is dark—very dark. If you're looking for a happy adventure, go back to Unova. But if you want a unique set of mons for your collection? It's worth the trauma. 100% completion took me 85 hours. Most of that was spent hiding in bushes, conserving PP, and praying my save file didn't corrupt from the sheer edge of the narrative.
