MISSION LOG: REGION DELTA GREEN
Explorer: DexHunter Ace (LVL. 100)
Time in Field: 42 Hours, 13 Minutes
Pokedex Status: 64% (STUCK)
Stress Level: Critical
THE POKEDEX ANXIETY
I need to breathe. The briefing promised a new storyline and sidequests. Fine. I love content. But then I read the fine print: "Sidequests that will affect who you encounter on your journey."
Do you understand what that means for a completionist? It means branching timelines. It means if I help the Old Man in the village, I might catch a Larvitar, but if I ignore him, I get a Bagon. This is a nightmare scenario for a Living Dex. I spent six hours resetting a single sidequest just to see the encounter tables shift. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or talking to NPCs. Or breathing.
THE LANDSCAPE & THREAT LEVEL
The region itself—built on the bones of the Emerald sector—feels distinct. New towns and routes are everywhere. However, the hostility level is spiked. The locals call it "Heavily Increased Difficulty," I call it "Why is this Youngster's Rattata sweeping my team?"
The threat level is high, requiring optimized IVs and EV training way earlier than standard protocol dictates. Without a documented Wiki or a spreadsheet of trainer teams, I'm flying blind. My spreadsheet for Hidden Grotto locations is useless here because the map has been terraformed.
ANOMALIES DETECTED (BETA STATUS)
The region is currently designated "Beta 1.1.6". In Explorer terms, this means the laws of physics are... suggestions. I encountered several visual glitches where textures didn't load correctly, creating "void zones." While the story is traversable, the polish isn't there yet. It feels like the construction crew is still laying the bricks while I'm trying to walk on them.
THE VERDICT: CATCHABILITY
Is a Living Dex is possible without cheats? Currently unknown, and that terrifies me. The branching choices suggest you might need multiple save files to see everything. For a casual tourist, this adds replay value. For me? It's an ulcer.
There are newer generation species roaming the tall grass, which is a plus, but the lack of documentation makes hunting specific targets a game of roulette. I haven't found a reliable way to patch trade evolutions yet, and I'm praying the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. if it is, but I haven't reached a vendor stocking it yet due to the difficulty spike.
FIELD NOTE: If you are obsessive like me, wait for the final stable release. The "Beta" tag implies the Pokedex count might shift in future updates, rendering your current collection obsolete.
