MISSION LOG: KANTO SECTOR (REMASTERED)
My hands are still shaking. Usually, a return to the Kanto sector is a boring exercise in grid-based nostalgia. This... this is different. The architect (Chaos Rush) has completely terraformed the region. The geography is unrecognizable in the best way possible—fluid, organic routes that mimic the HeartGold/SoulSilver topography. I found myself getting lost in Viridian Forest, and I never get lost.
THE TARGET LIST: 210/210
The biodiversity here is capped at a tight 210. This is a surgical operation, not a sprawling mess. We are talking the original 151 plus their cross-generational evolutions (Scizor, Steelix, Crobat). Living Dex is possible without cheats. I repeat: No trade evolutions required. You can obtain the necessary evolution catalysts in-game. My anxiety over that empty slot #065 (Alakazam) evaporated instantly. It's a completionist's dream environment.
COMBAT & THREAT ANALYSIS
Hostile trainers have updated their combat protocols. The Physical/Special split is active, meaning my Gengar is finally a viable threat rather than a confused ghost trying to punch things. The movesets are pulled from the Unova (B2/W2) database, giving the local wildlife a lethal edge. I nearly wiped to a Gym Leader who actually understood type coverage.
FIELD NOTE: The audio landscape has been scrubbed. No more compressed GBA screeching. The custom orchestral tracks are drilling into my brain, and I like it.
ANOMALIES DETECTED
The narrative timeline has been altered. Green (the female rival) is a constant, aggressive presence, and the Team Rocket syndicate feels like an actual paramilitary threat rather than a joke. The pacing is relentless.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Specifically, the legendary encounters. While static, the scripting is tight, and you do not want to accidentally crit Mewtwo and lose your 100% status. I saved three times. I checked the save file timestamp. Then I saved again.
MISSION DEBRIEF
This isn't just a repaint; it's a total structural renovation of the Gen 3 engine. 100% completion took me 32 hours. That is a dense, filler-free runtime. If you need to scratch the Kanto itch but can't stomach the archaic mechanics of the original FireRed, this is the only viable simulation.
