LOG ENTRY: DAY 01 - THE DARK KNIGHT SECTOR
I touched down in the Dark Knight region with a singular goal: 100% Pokedex acquisition. The intel promised a Living Dex of all 386 species. My palms were sweating before I even booted up the DexNav. Do you know what it feels like to see a region where every single slot can be filled without external trade? It’s intoxicating. It’s a neurological need.
However, the atmosphere here is... unstable. The local reality (Version Alpha v1.0) feels like the fabric of space-time hasn't fully knitted together yet. I encountered locals speaking in strange, broken dialects—something about dying by a "gentle breeze." It’s disorienting, but a Hunter pushes through.
THE HUNTING GROUNDS (FEATURES & MECHANICS)
Let's talk numbers, because numbers don't lie. The regional authorities have authorized the capture of the full National Dex. Living Dex is possible without cheats. I spotted Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn species mingling in the tall grass early on. This is the dopamine hit I live for. No trade evolutions blocking my path? That's the dream.
The local technology has some distinct advantages:
- Reusable TMs: A massive resource saver. I don't have to hoard Thunderbolt like it's a rare candy anymore.
- Indoor Mobility: Running inside buildings is permitted. Finally, civilization has advanced.
- Decapitalized Text: The signage is easier on the eyes, less shouting.
ANOMALIES & THREAT LEVEL
Here is where the expedition gets rocky. The region is clearly under construction. I found barriers where the road simply... ends. The narrative data is corrupted; the locals' dialogue often devolves into nonsense. It’s hard to immerse yourself in the lore when the text boxes look like they went through a blender.
FIELD WARNING: This is an Alpha simulation. Stability is low. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Actually, save before you do anything. I experienced visual glitches that threatened to wipe my save file.
THE VERDICT: INCOMPLETE DATA
I wanted to love this. I wanted to spend 80+ hours here. But I can't commit to a 100% run when the map edges are still rendering. The "Link Cable" item is available in Department Store. Huge W. But what good is evolving my Alakazam if the game crashes three towns later?
This region needs more time in the oven. The potential for a great catch-em-all experience is there, but right now, it's too raw for a serious completionist to risk their sanity on.
