MISSION LOG: ENTRY #494
Location: Small Town / The Void Dimension
Status: HYPER-VIGILANT
Pokedex Completion: ERROR%
I don't know where I am. I packed for a standard badge quest—brought my catching charm, my synchronized Ralts army, and my spreadsheets. I landed in "Small Town". The locals were smiling. Too much. My intuition started screaming before I even checked the tall grass. This isn't a region; it's a psychological trap.
THE ANOMALY (Plot & Atmosphere)
I sat down to organize my PC boxes, and suddenly I receive a package with no return address. Next thing I know, my own mother—usually an NPC restricted to healing my party—attacks me. I have been transported to a dimension filled with "evil souls".
Listen to me closely: There are no Gym Leaders. There is no Pokemon League. I am shaking. If there is no League, there is no Hall of Fame. If there is no Hall of Fame, how do I timestamp my victory? This environment is hostile to the very concept of a Completionist. It's a narrative puzzle masquerading as a creature collector.
CATCHABILITY REPORT
I attempted to scout for local fauna. The intel suggests I need to "search for clues" to find a way back. Clues don't fill Pokedex slots! I found the lack of standard infrastructure disturbing. Usually, I'd be looking for a Department Store to stock up, hoping the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. But here? I'm just trying to survive without getting erased from existence.
FIELD NOTE: The entities here are not standard encounters. The "evil souls" disrupt the catch rate algorithms. This is not a safari; it's a survival horror simulation.
TECHNICAL OBSERVATIONS
The visual landscape has been terraformed. New tiles and sprites are present, creating a genuinely unsettling atmosphere. However, the structural integrity of this reality (Beta 1.2) is unstable. I encountered abrupt endings to the path. It feels unfinished.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or the house. Or opening a box. The script triggers are unpredictable, and without a badge capability check, you might find yourself soft-locked or thrust into a cutscene you can't escape.
THE VERDICT
This expedition is for the curious, not the collectors. My neurological need to see "CAUGHT" icons is starving here. In a standard region like Hoenn or Sinnoh, 100% completion took me 85 hours. Here? I have no idea how long I've been trapped. Time works differently in the dark.
If you are looking to fill a Living Dex, turn back. If you want to be spooked by custom sprites and a mother who throws hands instead of running shoes, proceed with caution.
