LOG ENTRY: 001-ALPHA
LOCATION: Pallet Town... I think?
CURRENT DEX COUNT: 0/151 (PANIC LEVELS RISING)
THE ANOMALY OF SECTOR 0.05
I have dropped into regions that were unfinished before. I've seen Glitch Cities that would melt a casual tourist's save file. But this? This is an affront to the very concept of collection. The Intel designated this 'Pokemon Creepy Black', Version Demo 0.05. My completionist senses were tingling—usually, a low version number means fresh hunting grounds. Instead, I found a wasteland.
The local Professor provided a starter simply labeled "GHOST". No nature info. No IV spread. Just a sprite that looks like it crawled out of the Silph Scope prototype. I attempted to check its summary for Egg Moves. Nothing.
CATCHABILITY ASSESSMENT: 0%
Here is the nightmare scenario for anyone trying to fill a Living Dex. When engaging hostile fauna or rival trainers, standard combat protocols are disabled. There is no 'False Swipe'. There is no 'Spore'. There is only Curse.
I tested this 'tech' on a Pidgey. I wanted to catch it. I need Pidgey for the early game slots. I used Curse. The screen went black. A distorted cry echoed—audio frequency suggests pitch-shifting modulation 0.5x. When visuals returned, the Pidgey was gone. Not fainted. Gone.
CRITICAL WARNING: This region does not support capture mechanics in standard engagement. You cannot fill a Pokedex with corpses.
THE TOMBSTONE ECOSYSTEM
It gets worse. I engaged a Youngster to grind for EVs. After the 'Curse' protocol executed, the trainer sprite vanished, replaced by a tombstone asset usually reserved for the Lavender Tower interior. I attempted to interact with the grave to see if it was a rematch mechanic.
It was not. The NPC is permanently deleted from the overworld. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Actually, save before you breathe. If you use this entity, you are permanently soft-locking yourself out of every trainer battle in the game. You are erasing content faster than you can play it. I tried to find a Poke Mart to stock up on essentials. I wanted to report that the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. But I suspect if I walk into a mart, I might end up erasing the clerk too.
AUDIO-VISUAL TOXICITY
The auditory landscape is locked in a recursive loop of the Lavender Town frequency. It is maddening. It disrupts the focus needed for Shiny Hunting. How am I supposed to hear the sparkle sound effect over this droning? The visuals are standard FireRed assets but stripped of vitality. It feels like a corrupted save file given sentience.
FINAL LOG
I pride myself on 100% completion. Usually, 100% completion took me 85 hours. Here? The game ends when you run out of things to kill. There is no post-game. There is no Battle Frontier. There is only the realization that you are the glitch. This is not a region for Explorers. It is a graveyard for data.
