LOG ENTRY: THE DYSTOPIAN SPLIT
Timestamp: 2020. Location: Kanto (Warzone Variant). Status: HIGH ALERT.
My palms are sweating. I just landed in the Pokemon Conjure region, and the vibe is completely off. The Pokedex is screaming at me. We aren't in the happy-go-lucky Kanto anymore. This is a warzone. But I'm not here for politics; I'm here for data entry #001 through #721. The atmosphere is heavy—blood, sweat, and tears are apparently part of the local weather cycle. It's dark, it's gritty, and it makes me nervous about the safety of my save file.
THE COMPLETIONIST'S NIGHTMARE
Here is the situation, and it is catastrophic for a singular save file. The local history logs indicate a divergent timeline. You have to choose: Hero or Villain. My neurological need for a 100% save file is shaking. Different storylines mean different encounters. Different starters. This is a bifurcation point that could lock out 50% of the species data.
Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Or in this case, save before making the choice to join your genocidal friend. If you pick the Villain path (exterminating Pokemon? Are you insane?), you might lose the Hero exclusives forever.
MECHANICAL UPGRADES & ANOMALIES
Despite the grim setting, the local tech has improved significantly. We have Mega Evolution signatures detected. The species diversity has expanded to include Gen IV, V, and VI, plus the Fairy type. This implies the Pokedex count is massive. I need more boxes in the PC immediately.
- Visuals: Decapitalized text is in effect. Reading the dialogue doesn't feel like the NPCs are shouting at me anymore.
- Mobility: You can run indoors. Essential for speed-running the fetch quests.
- Threat Level: The "Villain" wants to exterminate all Pokemon. This is the ultimate threat to a Living Dex.
QUALITY OF LIFE CHECK
I scouted the local marts immediately. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. This suggests trade evolutions are patched, keeping the dream of a solo Living Dex alive, provided the story split doesn't ruin it. The Repel system has been upgraded to the Black/White standard—it prompts for re-application. It saves me menu ticks, but I'm watching my step.
VERDICT: UNSTABLE GROUND
The region is tagged as "Completed" in some archives, but my firmware reads "Alpha 0.0.2". That is a massive discrepancy. I cannot commit to a grind when the world might dissolve into code. 100% completion took me 85 hours in similar regions, but here? I am aborting the deep dive until the stability is confirmed. The risk of a "Glitch City" ending or an incomplete Pokedex due to Alpha status is too high.
