LOG ENTRY: REGION CERICE
Timestamp: 0800 Hours
Location: Littleroot Sector (Modified)
Operator: Professor Redwood
I have returned from the Cerice simulation. My initial briefing suggested a standard Hoenn excursion, but the parameters have been significantly altered. This is not a vacation spot for casual trainers who think spamming Hyper Beam is a strategy. The region is engulfed in a factional war between two hostile entities: Team Nyctophobia and Team Regime. The atmosphere is tense, and the threat level is elevated immediately upon entry.
TACTICAL ASSESSMENT: COMBAT ENGINE
The local physics are grounded in the Ruby framework. This is an archaic engine compared to the modern Emerald decompilations we usually deploy into. I attempted to run my standard calculations, but I ran into immediate friction regarding the move-sets and damage categorization. The Physical/Special split is mandatory. No excuses. Without it, running a Gyarados or Sneasel is statistically inefficient, bordering on negligence. If you are deploying into Cerice, check your move properties manually; do not assume modern physics apply here.
That said, the hostile AI shows signs of aggression not found in the vanilla sector. It doesn't just roll over. However, I noticed the level curve spikes aggressively. Acceptable challenge, but the level curve is infinite. I found myself needing to grind on wild fauna just to match the BST (Base Stat Total) of the Gym Leaders. That is not difficulty; that is a time sink.
THE FACTION WAR
The narrative conflict between Stephen (Nyctophobia) and Seth (Regime) provides a compelling backdrop. Unlike the chaotic incompetence of Team Magma, Stephen operates with a distinct moral conviction. He believes his calculations are correct. It reminds me of N's ideology in the Unova sector, but with more militaristic application.
FIELD NOTE: Do not underestimate the rival factions. They operate with optimized teams earlier than expected. Standard Hardcore Nuzlocke rules: No items in battle. If you heal spam, you are invalidating the data.
ANOMALIES AND GEOGRAPHY
The region mirrors the Hoenn topography but feels... denser. The encounter rates and trainer density are high. I observed several new characters integrated into the timeline, disrupting the predicted flow of events. This makes routing for a Nuzlocke erratic. You cannot rely on standard encounter tables. Did you even check the Documentation files? Because I certainly had to cross-reference the trainer rosters to avoid a wipe.
FINAL ANALYSIS
Pokemon Cerice is a combat-heavy simulation built on an aging chassis. It offers a genuine challenge for those who enjoy the attrition of war, but it lacks the polish of modern engine upgrades. It serves as a decent training ground for intermediate strategists, provided you have the patience for the old-school mechanics.
