MISSION LOG: REGION BLUE STARS 2
Timestamp: 03:42 AM
Location: Unknown Route, tall grass
Pokedex Status: 94% Complete
My eyes are burning, but I can't close them. Not when there are still empty slots in the registry. I've just spent the last 62 hours cataloging the biodiversity in the Blue Stars 2 sector, and let me tell you, the density of species here is overwhelming. We aren't just dealing with the standard Kanto 151. We are looking at a cross-dimensional convergence of Generational Data 1 through 7, plus anomalies like Meltan and Melmetal.
My completionist anxiety usually spikes when I see a regional dex this bloated, but the local infrastructure is surprisingly accommodating to my neurological need for a 100% completion rate.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX
The local ecosystem is chaotic but manageable. You have species from Alola rubbing shoulders with Kanto natives. The sheer volume required a rigorous spreadsheet to track spawn locations. I found myself hyperventilating near the mid-game because I couldn't find a specific trade evolution item, but panic was premature.
Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W.
That single item saved the expedition. No need to disturb a second operative for trade protocols. I confirmed that a Living Dex is possible without cheats. Every trade evolution has been patched with a consumable or a level-up trigger. This is the gold standard for solo exploration units like myself.
ANOMALIES: PERMANENT MEGA EVOLUTION
I observed a strange biological phenomenon in this region. Mega Evolution isn't a temporary combat state induced by adrenaline and keystones. It's... permanent. Once you trigger the mutation, the subject remains in that form. From a collection standpoint, this complicates the boxes. Do I keep a standard Charizard AND a Mega Charizard Y? Obviously. The answer is always yes. I need more PC boxes.
FIELD NOTE: Watch out for unidentified species (Fakemon). They don't always align with standard database entries, which can mess up your sorting algorithm if you aren't paying attention.
QUALITY OF LIFE (QoL) ASSESSMENT
The local technology helps mitigate the grind. They utilize the Generation 6 Experience Share protocols (Key Item variant), meaning my entire team stays leveled while I focus on catching fodder for the Dex. Without this, raising 800+ specimens would have taken me years. Instead, 100% completion took me 62 hours.
However, be warned: The region layout has been altered. New Gyms and a distinct history mean you can't rely on your muscle memory from the FireRed sector. I walked into a few high-threat zones unprepared.
FINAL LOG ENTRY
The post-game sector is robust, though the inclusion of Fakemon always leaves a weird taste in my mouth—like eating a berry that hasn't been identified by the FDA. But for the sheer volume of catchable targets and the ease of evolution? This is a paradise for the obsessive.
