MISSION LOG: REGION 627 (BLOOD BURST SECTOR)
Timestamp: 03:42 AM
Location: Unknown Safari Zone Sector
Pokedex Status: CORRUPTED / 386?
My hands are shaking. I haven't blinked in forty minutes. This region... it's not standard issue. Headquarters listed this as a Leaf Green modification, but the biodiversity here is completely unstable. I came here to fill the database, but the database keeps changing on me.
THE FAUNA: UNREGISTERED DNA DETECTED
The intel stated "Some Fakemon are added." That was an understatement. I've encountered biological entities that defy the standard taxonomy of the National Dex. I'm seeing genetic splices, creatures that look like fever dreams of a Kanto scientist. For a completionist, this is a nightmare scenario. How do I categorize a species that doesn't exist in the archives?
However, I did confirm the presence of Gen 1 through 3 staples. The nostalgia centers of my brain fired correctly when I saw a Mudkip, but then I ran into something that looked like a Charizard drawn from memory by a lunatic. Living Dex is possible without cheats, technically, but you're going to have a box full of "Subject X" and "Subject Y" that won't transfer to Home. I organized my PC boxes by color because the typing makes no sense.
THE HUNTING GROUNDS
The geography is warped. The mission briefing promised an "All new SAFARI ZONE," and this is where I've set up camp. It is the only sanctuary of order in this chaos. The encounter rates are high, the grass is thick, and the species variety here is dense. I spent 12 hours just doing laps in Zone 2.
FIELD NOTE: The local dialect appears to be a derivative of Chinese text encoding. If you do not possess a translation matrix (or a guide), you are flying blind. I accidentally released a shiny because I couldn't read the menu prompt. I screamed.
TECHNICAL ANOMALIES & QOL
This is a raw expedition. Don't expect the modern luxuries of the Unbound sector. The progression is strictly linear—medals must be obtained in order, which prevents any sequence breaking for early legendary hunting. It feels restrictive, like the region is fighting my exploration instincts.
I searched every mart for evolution items. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W.—or at least, an item that functions identically to it was sold by a merchant who looked suspiciously glitchy. It allowed me to evolve my trade-mons, which is the only thing keeping my sanity rating above critical levels.
THE VERDICT
This is not a vacation. This is a survival horror for your save file. The blend of real Pokemon and "Fakemon" creates a jarring ecosystem that feels less like a region and more like a laboratory accident. I finished the run, but at what cost?
100% completion took me 85 hours. Most of that was trying to figure out if the creature I just caught was a legendary or just a common bird with a sprite error. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave near the mid-game choke point; I encountered a script loop that nearly wiped my Pokedex data.
