LOG ENTRY: SECTOR BLAZING (BETA VARIANT)
Current Pokedex Status: 12%
Mental State: Unstable.
Location: Pallet Town (Thermal Anomalies Detected)
I arrived in the Pokemon Blazing sector expecting a standard Kanto remix, but the atmospheric readings are all wrong. The intel promised a fire-themed expedition, and they weren't kidding. Professor Oak—or whatever entity is wearing his lab coat in this timeline—is obsessed with thermal energy. The local starters have been replaced: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, and a biological anomaly the locals call "Flaon". My Dex identifies it as a misspelled Flareon, but the code structure suggests a custom modification. I chose the Torchic. Speed Boost is essential for survival in unstable realities.
THE ECOSYSTEM
The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the Kanto sector, primarily because half of it is covered in snow while the narrative demands fire. It's a jarring juxtaposition. As a completionist, I immediately attempted to catalog the local wildlife. The distribution is chaotic. I found high-level fire types in early routes, completely disrupting the power curve. It feels less like a carefully curated ecosystem and more like a safari zone where the fences have failed.
FIELD NOTE: The entity known as "Flaon" appears to be a unstable genetic splice. Proceed with caution when adding to the roster.
THE CATCHABILITY INDEX
Here is where my anxiety spikes. I play for the 100%. I need the 100%. But this region is designated "Beta 1". Do you know what that means for a Hunter? It means the road ends abruptly. I spent three hours grinding in Viridian Forest looking for a rare spawn, only to realize the encounter tables might not even be finished. My scanner usually lights up when a Living Dex is possible without cheats. Here? Static. Silence. The void.
- Regional Variant: The "Snow" weather effect is persistent. It adds a layer of attrition to battles that I wasn't prepared for.
- Tech Level: Low. I checked the local marts. I was hoping to report that the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. However, the inventory was standard issue. Disappointing.
ANOMALIES AND GLITCHES
The structural integrity of this reality is weak. I encountered several text overflow errors and invisible walls. At one point, I walked into a cave and the texture map dissolved. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I'm not talking about a legendary bird; I'm talking about your save file corruption. The "Fire" theme is a fascinating concept, but the execution feels like a prototype held together by duct tape and dreams.
I cannot recommend a full expedition at this time. There is no post-game to speak of, and for a man who lives for the Battle Frontier, that is a death sentence. I'm packing up my gear. Call me when Beta 2 drops, or when they fix the spelling of Flareon.
