Okay so I went into Pokemon Black Dark expecting absolutely nothing and somehow got even less AND more at the same time?? This game is absolutely unhinged 💀 Like genuinely I don't know what Jota was cooking but they left the stove on and the house is now on fire.

So this is a Spanish hack which means my monolingual self was already at a disadvantage but honestly?? The vibes transcend language barriers. You're running around what's basically cursed Kanto but the aesthetic is giving "what if FireRed had an emo phase in 2009." The Black/White sprite edits are actually kinda clean though ngl, some Pokemon got that Gen 5 glow-up treatment and I'm not mad about it.
The T-Card sprite substitution thing when you wear team uniforms?? Actually fire. Didn't expect that level of detail from a hack that also has... other choices. We'll get there.

Bro the difficulty spike in this region is VIOLENT. Like I thought I was built different after surviving Clover but this hack said "no lol" and proceeded to humble me with a random trainer's team. The AI hits different here. Not Radical Red different, more like "someone cranked the levels up and hoped for the best" different.
