LOG ENTRY: 0700 HOURS - LITTLEROOT... OR IS IT?
My Pokedex is booting up, but the local data stream is... corrupted. I came to the Pokemon Balanced Sapphire region expecting a standard Hoenn recalibration—a clean, optimized environment for a 100% Living Dex run. Instead, I've stepped into a dimension where the lore archives are speaking in tongues.
First things first: The completionist in me is screaming. The region parameters (Official Intel) promised a rebalanced ecosystem with changed starters and modified typing. For a hunter, this is a double-edged sword. On one hand, fresh meta. On the other, my muscle memory is useless. I threw a Grass-type move at a water entity and it laughed at me. The local biology has been altered at a genetic level.
THE "HUAWEI" ANOMALY
I need to address the elephant in the room—or rather, the "Huawei" on the island. The mission briefing contained a text fragment about a scientist named Giovanni and a missing "Mount Fuji". This data appears to be a garbled transmission from a Kanto sector timeline, poorly translated and pasted over this Hoenn simulation. It breaks immersion immediately.
NOTE: Ignore the archive text files found in the lab. They are cognitive hazards. Focus on the raw capture data.
THE HUNT: CATCHABILITY & MECHANICS
Despite the lore hallucinations, the mechanical adjustments are present. The local Professor has patched the evolution algorithms. Living Dex is possible without cheats. This is the only thing keeping me in the field. I confirmed that trade-evolution organisms can now self-evolve using specific triggers.
However, the "Beta" status of this world is palpable. I encountered missing textures and erratic behavior in the wild grass. The difficulty curve is spiked—Gym Leaders aren't just stronger; they are utilizing move sets that shouldn't legally exist in this timeline. It feels less like "Balanced" Sapphire and more like "Chaos" Sapphire.
QUALITY OF LIFE (OR LACK THEREOF)
I spent hours scouring the markets for essential gear. I finally found what I was looking for. Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. This single item saves the run from being a total wash. Being able to evolve a Machoke solo is a dopamine hit I desperately needed after reading that nonsense about "cloned human embryos" in the game description.
But be warned: The stability of this reality is questionable. Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. I had a soft-lock scare near the Granite Cave sector that almost cost me 4 hours of playtime. The scripting is fragile.
FINAL LOG
Is this region conducive to a 100% completion run? Barely. The modified types make cataloging a headache, and the "Beta" tag hangs over the world like a storm cloud. I have 493 slots to fill, and I can't trust this environment to hold my save file together long enough to fill them.
