But what I found was a fragmented reality. The intel promised a "Completed" experience, yet the version stamp reads "Beta 4". Do you know what that does to a completionist's brain? It creates an itch you cannot scratch.
THE LANDSCAPE: A FRESH COAT OF PAINT
The visual landscape of this region is vibrant, unlike anything in the standard Hoenn sector. The architects (TheAndu09) have overhauled the tilesets. Trees look lusher; the water physics—fitting for a region named Aqua Splash—feel distinct. It’s not just a palette swap; it’s a renovation. However, pretty trees don't fill Pokedex slots.
THE CATCH: "ALL GENERATIONS" (THEORETICALLY)
The local wildlife is diverse. My scanners picked up signatures from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos. Seeing a Gen 5 entity in a Gen 3 engine usually brings tears of joy to my eyes. Living Dex is possible without cheats—or at least, it would be, if the world didn't dissolve into static. I was tracking a rare spawn when I realized the encounter tables were inconsistent. I'm currently stuck at 42.7% completion, and the silence from the developer since 2019 is deafening.
QUALITY OF LIFE & ANOMALIES
The interface has been modified with a Custom UI. It's sleek, I'll give it that. But functionality is king. I found a critical resource for solo operatives: the Link Cable item is available in Department Store. Huge W. This allows for trade evolutions without a partner, which is essential for my 3:00 AM grinding sessions. However, the region is unstable. I encountered text anomalies due to the local dialect (Spanish)—my translator struggled, but "Guardar" means Save, and you better do it often.
FIELD NOTE: Missable event warning! Save before entering the cave. Actually, save before entering any door. The "Beta" nature of this reality means collision detection is merely a suggestion in some areas.
THE VERDICT
I cannot recommend this expedition for serious hunters. 100% completion took me 85 hours in other regions, but here, the clock stops before the job is done. It's a "Beta" from 2019. In Explorer terms, that's a ghost town. The potential was there—the graphics, the roster—but an empty Pokedex slot is an empty Pokedex slot.
