THE SETUP PROTOCOL

Save before entering the cave. Or rather, save constantly. JoiPlay can crash if the game script calls for a Windows-specific font or audio codec that isn't perfectly emulated.
QUALITY OF LIFE CHECK
For the grinder, this method is a godsend. JoiPlay supports a built-in speed-up toggle. Best QoL: Infinite Repel system? No, best QoL is 3x Speed for egg hatching on the bus. However, be warned: not all games are compatible. Pokemon Infinite Fusion is notoriously unstable on this protocol due to the sheer volume of sprite calculations.
