LOG ENTRY: OVER 9000% SPEED
Yo fam, Glitch City Kid here. I just drifted into the DBZ Legend of Kakarot sector and let me tell you, the energy readings are off the charts (and so is the sprite scaling). I cranked my emulator to 400% speed immediately because if I'm not moving faster than a Super Saiyan, what is even the point? This isn't Kanto anymore; we are in a dimension where Capsule Corp technology has seemingly fused with the Game Boy Advance engine in the most chaotic way possible.
THE "POKEMON" (OR LACK THEREOF)
Forget Pikachu. We are catching hands here. The local biological entities have been replaced by Z-Fighters. I'm literally walking around as Goku, beating up wildlife. The intel mentioned "New Characters" and "Goku, Piccolo, Krilin, Ten-Shin-Han Available," and they weren't lying. But seeing a pixelated Piccolo use a move that looks suspiciously like 'Tackle' is an experience that transcends gaming.
- Visuals: The sprites are "Hugely Improved" according to the dev, which in my language means "deliciously inconsistent art styles clashing beautifully."
- Transport: The "Cloud Voladora" (Flying Nimbus) is the only way to travel. Walking is for NPCs.
- Combat: "Series attacks" are implemented. I fired a Kamehameha that I'm pretty sure was just a recolored Hyper Beam. 10/10.
ANOMALIES & "FEATURES"
This game is absolutely unhinged 💀. The "Cinematics of the series" are essentially cutscenes that try to recreate anime drama using 32-bit text boxes and aggressive screen shaking. It is art. I found the "Tienda del Maestro Karin" (Korin's Shop) and bought items that I don't even know how to use because half the text might be in Spanglish or just raw hex code. The "Mini Open World" feels less like Hyrule and more like a fever dream where you can walk through walls if you try hard enough.
FIELD NOTE: If the game freezes during a cutscene, that's just Frieza charging his attack for 5 minutes. Immersion level: 100. Actually, my emulator crashed twice. Loved it.
THE NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE
The story covers the Raditz and Vegeta Sagas, but filtered through the lens of a ROM hack. The dialogue is pure brainrot (complimentary). It tries to be serious DBZ canon, but when it's delivered via FireRed text bubbles while a MIDI version of 'Cha-La Head-Cha' screams in the background, it becomes comedy gold. I saw "Salvajes skinners" mentioned in the intel—I assume this means wild encounters, but honestly, it could be a cryptid.
FINAL LOG
Don't play this seriously. Just don't. If you want a polished RPG, go play Dragon Quest. If you want to see Krillin faint in 8-bit glory while the game engine struggles to contain Goku's power level, this is your jam. It's buggy, it's weird, and it's exactly the kind of trashy treasure I live for.
